Hansel and Gretel (2007) Photobucket

Eun-Su (Cheon Jeong Myeong) is driving in a country road to visit his dying mother. He gets a phone call from his girlfriend wanting to discuss about her recent pregnancy. She wants him to take responsibility and he was trying to avoid the subject. He gets into a car accident.

When he awakes he finds a little girl name Yeong-Hye (Shim Eun Keyong) by his side. It was dark and no where to get help so Eun-Su follows Yeong-Hye to her house in the middle of the forest. The house was a huge cottage in the middle of the forest. It had toys, cookies and decorations like Christmas. Eun-Su finds Man-Bok (Eun Won Jae) the brother, Jeong-Sun (Jin Ji Hye) the youngest sister, and two parents living in the house. The family looks very odd and seems to be hiding a big secret. The parents seem very nervous but always polite.

Eun-Su tries to leave to go home but fails to get out of the forest. The second day Eun-Su finds the parents are gone and leaves him with the kids. Eun-Su senses there is someone in the attic and goes to investigate. He finds the "mom" scared and dirty. Turns out she is not the children's mother. Her and her husband was brought to the house when their car broke down. They couldn't leave the forest and now the children has taken her husband. A day later Eun-Su finds the "mom" in the attic but her body has turned into porcelain. He finds evidence that the "father" was chopped up as meat for supper.

Eun-Su finds a book on the floor, it was Hansel and Gretel. It turns out that the children was born in 1960s and the house they are in was once an orphanage. They were abused by a man they called father. This man left the children in filth and used them to make money. He locked the older children or those that he deemed useless in a room to starve. He would beat the children to death and sexually abuse the girls. During Christmas a charity came with a man dressed as Santa Claus. Santa said that if they imagined it anything they wish would happen. He also gave them candy and the book Hansel and Gretel.

Man-bok had supernatural powers and when he thought hard he could make things move. He thought that it was Santa Claus that brought them this power. The children kills the orphanage father by pushing him in the oven.

For 40 years the children has been looking for parents that would take care of them. The children would force people to stay with them in the house but when they try to leave the children would kill them. The children was cursed by their abused childhood and was forever stuck in the age of a child. They are forever looking for grown-ups that were caring and wanted them.

Finally they decide to let Eun-Su leave because he was the only one that cared for them. For everyone that stayed at the house the children would create a story and draw it in a notebook. However the story ends in the notebook would happen in real life. The only way to get out was to burn the notebook with his story.

Eun-Su burns the book and suddenly wakes up on the freeway. He goes home and decides to have the baby with his girlfriend. He ends up being a good father and husband. He constantly tries to find news of the children because he felt sad for them.

Zhu Yan-Gi (Charlene Choi) is a daugther of a weathy winery owner. She dressed up as a young man to enroll in the all-male Soul Ease Clan to learn marital arts. Her childhood friend Ma (Hu Ge) escorts her to the martial school. In the beginning she hates the eldest brother, Chu-Shan (Wu Jun) for picking on her. When he begins teaching her martial arts they start to have respect for each other. Yan-Gi does really cute things like drawing butterflies on Chu-Shan's sword and drinking for Chu-Shan in a match.

Yan-Gi always had a dream of a man with his back turned in a middle of a flower field but doesn't know who he is.
Yan-Gi is very bad at martial arts even with Chu-Shan's help. They both work very hard to keep Yan-Gi in school. The head herbal teacher, Herb Head (Harlem Yu), is the only one that knows Yan-Gi is a girl. He lets her stay in his herbs room and becomes her confidante. He has her help him test a new drug he made that allows a person to fake death. A person appears dead but comes back to live after taking a certain herb. Herb Head takes the drug and everyone at school thinks he is dead. The second day Yan-Gi goes to the mountain to find the herb but falls unconsciences because of dehidration. Chu-Shan gets worried and goes to look for her. He finds her and when he tries to revive her Chu-Shan finds out Yan-Gi is a woman.

After that day they start flirting and falling for each other. That's when they found out Yan-Gi's family has been in trouble with corrupted governments and that's why they sent her to the martial school. Ma has been helping conspire with another government offical to save Yan-Gi's family. Ma is madly in love with Yan-Gi. Yan-Gi's father forces her to marry Ma because Ma saved the family.

She gets locked up because she wouldn't marry Ma. Chu-Shan gets extremely wounded by Ma's men trying to see Yan-Gi. When he got to Yan-Gi she stabs him in the chest because she wanted to him to forget their love. She has to marry Ma or Ma would send his men to kill her parents and Chu-Shan.

Herb Head perfects his drug and sneaks to see Yan-Gi. Herb Head tells her to take the drug and she will come back to live after 3 days. When everyone thinks she is dead, she can run away with Chu-Shan. Before Herb Head could savely leave the premises to tell Chu-Shan the plan Herb Head gets killed by Ma's men.

Yan-Gi drinks the drug on the day of her wedding. Everyone thinks she is dead. Chu-Shan is so heart broken he goes to Yan-Gi's funeral to retrieve her body. Ma fights Chu-Shan at the funeral. Chu-Shan is so hurt he's about to die. Seeing this Ma lets him go with Yan-Gi's body.

Chu-Shan takes her to a field of flowers and digs a grave big enough for the both of them. He lays next to her and tells her he always dreamed of being with her in the flower field. When the martial brothers find the pair laying in the grave, out of grieve, they start buring the grave. That is when Yan-Gi wakes up from her fake death. When she sees Chu-Shan dead laying next to her. She says that butterflies should be in pairs and not lonely. She closes her eyes and is buried along with Chu-Shan.
